PhD Jonathan Harth
Dr. Jonathan Harth (Witten/Herdecke University)
Jonathan has been a research fellow at the Chair of Sociology at Witten/Herdecke University since 2009 and is interested in digital technologies. He is particularly fascinated by questions of sociality under conditions of machine intelligence, as well as virtual reality and the new self- and world relations associated with it. Since 2020, Jonathan has been working in the R&D project “Ai.vatar – the virtual intelligent assistant” (EFRE, IKT.NRW), which is a collaborative venture dedicated to the design, construction and research of embodied conversational agents in virtual and augmented environments. The years before that, he was involved in research projects on computer games and artificial game partners as well as Western Buddhism.
