

PhD Malgorzata Kubala
Singer, music researcher, and musicologist, she obtained her Master’s degree in Singing from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (2002) and her Master’s degree in Musicology from the Institute of Musicology at the University of Warsaw (2000). She holds a PhD from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. In 2019, she received her habilitation in the field of musical arts.
As a performer, she has given concerts in Poland, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, Latvia, Canada, Spain, and France, presenting a wide and varied repertoire ranging from Romantic to contemporary music. She has recorded four albums: Fryderyk Chopin Paulina Viardot amitié amoureuse (DUX, 2014), Escuela vocal de Manuel García (DUX, 2017), Marzena Majcher Chemistry of Love (Requiem Records, 2018), and Granados en Varsovia (Requiem Records, 2019).
Between 2013 and 2020, she was a professor at the Department of Voice and Acting at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She has also given lectures and masterclasses at institutions such as Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga, Conservatorio Manuel Castillo in Seville, Conservatorio Profesional de Música de León, Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid, University of Jaén, University of Łódź, and the Academy of Music in Łódź.
She collaborates with the doctoral schools of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. She is a member of the scientific committee of InstrumentUM, the journal of the University of Murcia.
She is the author of two books: Vocal Technique and Interpretation Based on Opinioni de’ cantori antichi e moderni o sieno osservazioni sopra il canto figurato by Pier Francesco Tosi (AMFC, Warsaw 2003), and Twelve Mazurkas by Chopin Transcribed by Pauline Viardot. Musical Aspects of the Fascinating Amitié Amoureuse (UMFC, Warsaw 2016). She is also co-editor of The Bel Canto School of Manuel García Senior. Genesis, Issues, Continuity, and Reception in Contemporary Vocalism (UMFC, Warsaw 2023), as well as the author of numerous scientific articles.
