PhD Malgorzata Kubala

Singer, music researcher and musicologist, she obtained a master's degree in singing at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (2002) and a master's degree in musicology at the Institute of Musicology, University of Warsaw (2000). She holds a doctorate from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. In 2019 she was awarded a professorial qualification in the field of musical arts. As a performer she gives concerts in Poland, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg, Latvia, Canada and Spain, performing a wide and varied repertoire ranging from Romantic to contemporary music. She has recorded four albums: Fryderyk Chopin Paulina Viardot amitié amoureuse (DUX, 2014), Escuela vocal de Manuel García (DUX, 2017) Marzena Majcher Chemistry of love (Requiem Records, 2018) and Granados en Varsovia (Requiem Records, 2019). Between 2013 and 2020 she has been a lecturer at the Department of Voice and Performance at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. At the same time she has held lectures and masterclasses, among others at Jāzepa Vitola Latvijas Mūzikas Akadēmija in Riga, Conservatorio Manuel Castillo in Seville, Conservatorio Professional de Música in León, Escuela Superior de Canto Madrid, University of Jaén, University of Łódź, Academy of Music in Łódź i Akademia de Música in Gdańsk. She is the author of two books such as Vocal technique and interpretation based on Opinioni de'cantori antichi e moderni o sieno osservazioni sopra il canto figurato by Pier Francesco Tosi (AMFC, Warsaw 2003) and Twelve Chopin Mazurkas in transcription by Pauline Viardot.
