PhD Lucia D`Errico

Lucia D’Errico is an artist-researcher in the field of music, with a specific focus on transdisciplinary experimental performance practices. With a background in music performance, composition, graphic design, and English and German literature, she has wide-ranging interests in the visual arts, contemporary philosophy, semiotics, and epistemology. Her work over the last seven years has devoted to artistic research: she has been a doctoral fellow in the ERC funded project MusicExperiment21 (2013–18) and is currently a postdoc fellow at the Orpheus Institute, and the coordinator of the doctoral program docARTES (Ghent, Belgium). She is the co-editor of the recently launched book series Artistic Research at Rowman & Littlefield Int., the co-editor of Artistic Research: Charting a Field in Expansion (2019, Lanham: Rowman & Littlefield Int.) and the author of Powers of Divergence. An Experimental Approach to Music Performance (2018, Leuven University Press). She is active as a composer, sound artist, guitarist, video performer, and graphic designer.
