MA Cristina Sitz Gento
Cristina Sitz-Gento holds a degree in Music Sciences – Piano Performance since 2000, but her professional interests soon turned to the field of arts management, moving to New York to pursue a Master’s degree in Arts Administration at Columbia University, which she concluded with her thesis “Global Encounters in the Culture of Spectacle”
In New York she worked at the marketing department at Carnegie Hall (2002-2003); Director of Programs at the Watermill Center and the Byrd Hoffman Watermill Foundation under the artistic direction of Robert Wilson (2003-2004) and Director of Programs and Admissions at Opus 118 Harlem School of Music (2004-2005).
Upon her return to Spain, Cristina Sitz-Gento worked at the Fundación Caja Duero as international relations and coordinator of the economics and business area.
Since 2007 she has been President of the Art Impressions Association, founded by the pianist Maria Joao Pires. That same year she joined the management team of the institutional consulting firm Arjé, with which she has coordinated large-scale projects such as the festival Rock in Rio Madrid 2008-2010 and the Madela Day 2010 project.
She founded and participated as a lecturer in the Higher Programme in Entertainment Business Management and Marketing at ESIC in Madrid and is a founding partner of the consulting firm Business Entertainment Network Spain.
Since 2011 she has been a member of the management team of the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska where she also teaches Marketing and Management in the Master’s Degree in Solo Performance. She is a member of the board of trustees of the Katarina Gurska Foundation and acts as director programs of the IKG.
